Ambulance service in the Carstairs area is provided by Alberta Health Services. The ambulance bays are located at the Carstairs Fire Hall.

The Town of Carstairs Fire Department consists of 24 dedicated well-trained individuals who take their role of providing protection to our residents very seriously. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter please complete the Fire Department Application form located in the Documents and Forms page of our website.

Open Fires & Fireworks
Fire Permits are required by law. Other than approved campfires, fire pits, and barbecues, any person or group lighting a fire for any purpose in the Town of Carstairs must have a valid fire permit. Permits are available online or at the Town Office and are free of charge. For more information on open fires please read the Town's Fire Regulations Bylaw.
Fireworks permits are required by law. Any person or group selling, purchasing, possessing or discharging fireworks within the Town of Carstairs must have a valid permit.
