Sporting clays and upland bird shooting preserve. Located two miles west and ½ mile south of Carstairs on Range Road 20.

Mills

Custom Woolen Mills
A working museum located near Carstairs, Alberta, they produce woolen and exotic fiber products on their unique industrial revolution machinery for over 25 years.  Products include, carded wools, rovings, spinning rolls, batts, wool yarns, knitting kits, socks, comforters, mattress pads and hand woven blankets.

Parks & Campgrounds

The Carstairs Municipal Campground, is known as "The People Friendly Place", and serves as the Town's Visitor Information Centre during the summer.

Pearson Berry Farm

Pearson Berry Farm
The Pearson Berry Farm is Canada's original native fruit farm established in 1969.   Welcomes picnics, barbecue, lunches and brunches. Cottage sleeps up to six, self contained or B &B. Refreshment stand, lunch, gift shop, u-pick saskatoons, & fresh produce. Processed Foods for sale include jams, syrup and pies. Located 28 kms west of Bowden on Hwy 587.

Rodeo

Carstairs Rodeo is held in conjunction with the Beef and Barley Days on the third weekend of July.  Junior Rodeo events are held on Friday night and Saturday. Events include barrel racing, poles, breakaway roping, keyhole, calf roping and goat tying.  Held in Carstairs at the Rodeo Grounds and sanctioned by the Central Alberta Rodeo Association (CARA.) For more information on events held at the Rodeo Grounds, contact the Rodeo committee:

Swimming Pools & Water Parks

Carstairs Spash Park  is open June to September ; from 8:00 AM to 8:00PM Daily.  Located in Memorial Park north of the curling rink. Come out and have fun getting wet. 


The Cowboy Trail
