Community Services is responsible for ensuring that quality of life opportunities and experiences are available to the residents of Carstairs and surrounding area through the development, management and support of recreational and cultural services.
Our vision is of a thriving community with an abundance of recreational and cultural services.
- Community Services will assist and encourage groups to meet their own needs.
- Community Services will provide programs directly only when groups are unable to provide for themselves.
- Community Services will take a pro-active role in coordinating community resources and promoting preventative services.
- Community Services will focus on facilitating leadership training and coordinating special events which promote community spirit.
